Early goal leads Hawks to 1-0 win over Miners

The Rockhurst men's soccer team broke into the win column in conference play with a 1-0 victory over Missouri S&T Friday night at Bourke Field.

Cristoforo LiCavoli scored the winning goal in the third minute on a 13-yard shot into the back right of the goal. Jacopo Belardo assisted on LiCavoli's first goal of the season.

Rockhurst posted seven of its 11 total shots in the second half. Belardo led the Hawks with four shots and two shots on goal. LiCavoli tallied three shots and two shots on goal. Fabio D'Errico made two saves for the Hawks.

The Hawks (3-4-1, 1-3-1 GLVC) host 11th-ranked Maryville Sunday afternoon.
