Rockhurst ends weekend with 4-0 record

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 win over Emporia State Saturday to open the season with a 4-0 record in the Kansas City Classic.

The Hawks won the second set 25-20 after dropping the first set, 25-20, and then won the next two sets by 25-22 scores.

Tera Reberry led the Hawks with 13 kills and five blocks. Sarah Pyle posted 12 kills and 15 digs. Sydney Raszler collected 11 kills and six blocks. Ali Olson added 10 kills and five blocks.

Maureen Reilly had a team-high 25 digs. Sarah Montague tallied 33 assists and 16 digs.

Rockhurst finished with 58 kills, 74 digs and 11 blocks. The Hawks finished with a .233 hitting percentage.

The Hawks travel to south Florida next weekend to play three matches in the Hyatt Place Bash at the Beach.
