Men's Golf takes home second place at KC Cup

Ben Elgas led the Hawks in second place
The Rockhurst men's golf team took home second place at the KC Cup Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 290 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 583, tying the school record for 36 holes.

Ben Elgas came in second place at 142. His back-to-back rounds of 71 rank as the 10th best 18-hole in school history. Elijah Shirley finished one shot behind Elgas in third place with a two-day score of 143. He shot a 70 in the second round, which ranks No. 6 in school history.

David Schilp tied for eighth place at 149 (74-75), Andrew Park tied for 10th at 150 (76-74), Mike Wolski tied for 13th at 152 (75-77) and Caleb Schmid placed 15th at 153 (78-75).
