Hawks post first win over UCM Jennies since 2002

The 25th-ranked Rockhurst women's volleyball team defeated Central Missouri for the first time since 2002. The Hawks ended a 10-match losing streak to UCM with a 3-2 victory over the Jennies Tuesday night in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Rockhurst closed out the match with a 15-12 win in the fifth set. After dropping the first set 25-23, the Hawks won the next two sets, 28-26 and 25-22. The Jennies evened the score with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.

Ali Olson led the Hawks with 15 kills and five blocks. Tera Reberry tallied 13 kills and five blocks. Sydney Raszler posted 12 kills. Sarah Pyle had 11 kills and 23 digs. Lexi Theis added nine kills, including closing out the match with a kill.

Maureen Reilly collected a team-high 41 digs. Sarah Montague finished with 31 assists and 13 digs. Molly Trachta added 20 assists.

Rockhurst (9-1) returns to conference play at McKendree Friday night.
