Rockhurst announces staff promotions

Rockhurst promotes four staff members.

Rockhurst Director of Athletics Kristy Bayer announced the promotion of four staff members, recognizing their hard work and dedication to Rockhurst Athletics, it was announced Friday.

Michael Koehler was promoted to Deputy Director of Athletics. Koehler joined the Athletics staff in 2012 and previously served as the school's Associate Director of Athletics.

Kathy Strecker will step into the Associate Athletics Director role after being the Assistant Athletics Director since 2013. Strecker is also the head coach for the men's and women's cross country programs, in addition to serving as the school's Senior Woman Administrator.

Greg Herdlick has added Assistant Athletics Director to his title along with being the head women's soccer coach. Herdlick will assist with internal administrative duties within the athletics department.

John Dodderidge was elevated to Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Communications. Dodderidge has been the sports information director at Rockhurst since 2005.
