Power game leads Bearcats over Hawks

McKendree connected on five home runs to end the weekend with a 13-10 victory over Rockhurst in the final game of their four-game series on Sunday at Loyola Park.

The Bearcats grabbed a 9-3 lead in the fourth inning and added four runs in the final four innings. The Hawks cut McKendree's lead to 11-9 with three runs in the seventh.

Cole Wagner led the Hawks with a two-run double in the fifth and a two-run home run in the seventh. Mac Cross drove in two runs with a double and homer. Hoyt Bennett doubled home two runs in the first.

The Hawks (12-21, 8-8 GLVC) host Fort Hays State on Tuesday.
