Hawks fall at home to Fort Hays State

Five players combined for 14 hits to lead Fort Hays State to a 21-10 victory over Rockhurst Tuesday at Loyola Park.

The Tigers scored 12 runs in the first three innings to take a 12-6 lead after Rockhurst enjoyed an early 5-2 lead. Fort Hays State added eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Adonis Forte, Hoyt Bennett and Landon Carr each hit home runs for Rockhurst. Carr, Brandon Hebrank and Andrew Loeffelman combined for six of the Hawks' 13 hits.

The Hawks (12-22, 8-8 GLVC) return to conference play at Lewis on Friday, April 14.
