The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team took an 18-3 loss against sixth-ranked Indianapolis on Friday at Bourke Field.

Indianapolis jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first period and took an 11-2 lead into halftime. The Greyhounds added seven goals in the second half.

Payton Thomas led the Hawks with one goal (on three shots) and one assist. Carolyn Byrd and Christine Corbin each scored a goal.

Mackenzie Blair and Kelly Marion each drew three draw controls. Katelyn Kochanowski posted a team-high of three ground balls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for ten saves.

Rockhurst finished with 15 shots and nine caused turnovers.

The Hawks (8-4, 2-1 GLVC) host McKendree on Thursday.
