Four Hawks earn Academic All-District honors

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
The Rockhurst women's basketball team placed a program-high four student-athletes on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.

The four Hawks earning their first Academic All-District distinction are Reagan Dodd, Rebeca Garcia, Molly Hummel and Allison McFarren.

Dodd, a graduate student from Jonesboro, Arkansas, started all 28 games while combining for 246 points and rebounds.

A sophomore center from Madrid, Spain, Garcia averaged 5.0 rebounds per game and ranks ninth in the GLVC in blocks.

Hummel, a senior forward from St. Louis, Missouri, earned All-GLVC Third Team honors. She ranks fifth in steals, sixth in blocks and 11th in rebounding in the GLVC.

A senior guard from Wichita, Kansas, McFarren averaged 6.7 points per game while starting all 28 games.


The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
