Hawks suffer losses to MSU-Denver, Newman

Metro State-Denver held to post a 4-3 victory over the Rockhurst women's tennis team Friday at the Northland Racquet Club in North Kansas City, Missouri.

MSU-Denver jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches. Martyna Jankowska and Dani Lentisco won No. 2 doubles, 6-1.

Marina Magai won in No. 2 singles in two sets over Kinsey Field, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-1.

Dina Dudic captured her No. 6 singles match in three sets over Kim Heddes, 2-6, 7-5 and 10-7.

Two days later, the Hawks fell to Newman, 5-2, at the Northland Racquet Club. Marina Magai and Dani Lentisco won their singles matches, while Magai teamed with Sofia Valdespino to win No. 1 doubles.
