Hawks sweep Bearcats in Bolivar

Rockhurst exploded for 13 hits in posting a 13-0 win over Southwest Baptist in the second game of a conference baseball doubleheader Saturday in Bolivar, Missouri. The Hawks also won the first game, 6-3, behind a nine-hit attack.

  • Freshman Sawyer Allen (3-2) shut out the Bearcats on four hits with eight strikeouts over 7.0 innings.
  • Adonis Forte led the Hawks with three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs.
  • Hoyt Bennett drove in three runs with two hits, including a two-run home run.
