Belardo named to Academic All-American first team

Jacopo Belardo holds a 4.0 GPA in the classroom

Jacopo Belardo was chosen to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Men's Soccer First Team on Tuesday. Belardo earned the award for the first time in his career for his play on the field and work in the classroom.

The junior midfielder from Rome, Italy posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in Marketing Analytics. The average GPA for the NCAA Division II CSC All-America teams was 3.85.

Belardo helped the Hawks to their second straight appearance in the GLVC Tournament while scoring a team-high 12 points on five goals and two assists. He scored three game-winning goals in 2023, vs. Central Methodist, Upper Iowa and William Jewell.

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division II Academic All-America® program.
