Balanced scoring carries Hawks to 87-64 win

Fourteen players broke into the scoring column to lead Rockhurst to an 87-64 victory over Manhattan Christian College Friday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Rockhurst closed the first half on a 29-13 run to take a 40-28 halftime lead. The Hawks opened the second half on a 29-9 run to take a 69-37 lead at the 11:32 mark.

Timaris Brown led the Hawks with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Auer scored 14 points with four 3-pointers and posted three steals. Rron Thaci tallied eight points with two 3-pointers. Miles White added seven points and five rebounds.

The Hawks shot 44.4 percent from the field (28-of-63) and made 13 of 31 three-pointers (41.9 percent).
