Hawks fall in five at GLVC Tournament

Missouri S&T overcame a two-set deficit to upset Rockhurst, 3-2, in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament Friday in Williamsville, Illinois.

The fourth-seed Hawks (21-7) won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-22, and jumped out to a 15-8 lead in the third set. S&T (18-9) rallied behind a 7-0 run to win the fourth set, 27-25, and closed out the match with a 15-10 win in set five.

Sarah Pyle led the Hawks with 15 kills and 18 digs. Tera Reberry posted 12 kills and five blocks. Sydney Raszler tallied nine kills and three blocks. Madison McClain added nine kills. Ali Olson and Alyssa McDonald combined for 12 blocks.

Maureen Reilly finished with 24 digs and five assists. Sarah Montague had 26 assists and 13 digs. Molly Trachta collected 19 assists and 13 digs. Gracey Janes added 18 digs.
