Hawks fall at home to Missouri Western

Missouri Western shot 63.2 percent from the field on the way to posting a 92-76 victory over Rockhurst Wednesday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Griffons went on a 14-0 run to take a 37-23 lead with 6:38 left in the first half. Western took a 47-34 lead into halftime. Rockhurst never pulled closer than 11 points in the second half.

Timaris Brown led the Hawks with 20 points while hitting 11-of-13 free throws. Miles White tallied 17 points on seven-of-10 field goal shooting.

Brian Hawthorne came off the bench to collect 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Nick Arensberg added 10 points and three assists.

Rockhurst shot 40.7 percent from the field (24-of-59) and 82.1 percent behind the foul line (23-of-28).
