Men settle for 1-1 tie at Truman State

The Rockhurst men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie at Truman State Friday in Kirksville, Missouri.

Freshman midfielder Sam McIntosh gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute with a shot into the upper right from eight yards out. The goal was set up off a pass from defender Jeremiah Musa.

The Bulldogs scored the tying goal in the 56th minute on a 12-yard shot by Jack Knust after getting past two Rockhurst defenders.

Rockhurst posted six of its 11 total shots in the second half. McIntosh led the Hawks with three shots and two shots on goal. Jacopo Belardo tallied three shots and one shot on goal. Nick Grewe added two shots on goal.

The Hawks (3-5-2, 1-4-2 GLVC) play at Upper Iowa on Sunday afternoon.
