Rockhurst men blank Southwest Baptist, 3-0

The Rockhurst men's soccer team capped the weekend with a 3-0 victory over Southwest Baptist Sunday in Bolivar, Missouri. The win improves the Hawks to 6-7-2 overall and 4-6-2 in the GLVC.

Daniele Bizzarri broke a scoreless tie with his second career goal in the 55th minute with assists from Sam McIntosh and Kaden Cripe.

Jacopo Belardo scored on a seven-yard shot in the 67th minute. Jeremiah Musa and Luca Zallo assisted on Belardo's fourth goal of the season.

Freshman Baha Ibrahim capped the scoring with a nine-yard shot in the 76th minute, set up by passes from McIntosh and Nick Grewe.

Rockhurst posted 12 of its 22 shots in the second half. Belardo led the Hawks with four shots and one shot on goal.

Cripe and Bizzarri each posted three shots. Ibrahim, McIntosh and Zallo added two shots apiece. Fabio D'Errico and Eli Crow combined for the shutout.

The Hawks host William Jewell Friday night.
