Women finish 10th at GLVC Championships

Molly Morris, center, and Jillian Vaughn were the top two runners for RU

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in 10th place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships Saturday at the Bolivar Golf Course in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Hawks posted 251 points. Lewis won the team title with 28 points, followed by Drury with 67 points and Southwest Baptist with 97 points.

Molly Morris led Rockhurst in 50th place with a time of 24:19.22 over the six-kilometer course. Jillian Vaughn was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 53rd place with a 24:31.89 time. Meg Murphy placed third for the Hawks in 62nd place in 25:04.19.

Cara Super (69th, 25:28.80) and Mary O'Connor (72nd, 25:37.33) rounded out the top five finishers for Rockhurst. Alexis Borum (77th, 25:52.06), Katie Mead (82nd, 26:05.09), Molly McClung (83rd, 26:08.89) and Alexis O'Mara (90th, 26:19.05) finished in the top 100.
