Offense powers Hawks to 88-71 win at Truman State

Timaris Brown and Jake Auer combined for 55 points to lead Rockhurst to an 88-71 victory over Truman State Saturday in Kirksville, Missouri.

The Hawks jumped out to a 38-26 halftime lead with Brown scoring 14 points. Rockhurst scored 50 points in the second half as Brown and Auer scored 36 points on 13-of-15 shooting.

Brown led the Hawks with season-highs in points (30) and rebounds (16). The freshman forward made 13-of-18 field goals.

Auer posted 25 points, three assists and two steals. Auer scored 20 points behind four 3-pointers in the second half.

Davit Kakushadze and Miles White combined for 13 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Jihad Thornton added four assists and four steals. Nick Arensberg also had four assists.

Dylan Peeters led Truman (6-10, 1-7 GLVC) with 14 points.
