Hawks collect two wins in Drury/SBU Invitational

Tera Reberry combined for 24 kills to lead Rockhurst to a pair of wins on the first day of the Drury/Southwest Baptist Invitational Friday in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Hawks opened the tournament with a 3-1 win over Southern Arkansas (19-25, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24) Friday afternoon. Reberry collected14 kills as Rockhurst finished with 53 kills.

Kenzie Hines added 12 kills and eight digs. Maureen Reilly finished with 13 digs. Sarah Montague had 26 assists and 11 digs. Brynn Bonewell added 15 assists.

Rockhurst closed out the day with a 3-0 win over Lake Superior State (25-18, 25-17, 25-23). Reberry and freshman Lexi Theis led the way with 10 kills apiece. Montague collected 18 assists. Bonewell added 11 assists and six digs. Hines and Reilly each had nine digs.

Rockhurst (6-0) plays 13th-ranked Southwest Minnesota State and Southwest Baptist on the second day of the Drury/SBU Invitational on Saturday.
