Jordan Andrews scored two goals to power Rockhurst to a 6-1 victory over Southwest Baptist in Friday night in Bolivar, Missouri.
Andrews opened the scoring in the 22nd minute on a shot from six yards with an assist from
Chase Klusman.
Kaden Cripe scored two minutes later on a six-yard shot with an assist from
Chase Klusman.
Winder Pessoa made it 3-0 on a 15-yard shot with an assist from
Riley Dubbs in the 30th minute.
The Hawks added three more goals in the second half. Andrews scored his second goal from 14 yards out in the 61st minute.
Blake Mann scored on a 16-yard shot with passes from Pessoa and Dubbs in the 76th minute.
Connor Blentlinger capped the scoring in the 78th minute on a 15-yard shot with assists from Pessoa and
Xavier Hadley.
Rockhurst posted 17 shots and 10 shots on goal. Kripe led RU with four shots on goal. Andrews collected three shots. Pessoa and
Ben Andoh each had two shots.
Andrea Dorella posted five saves in goal for the Hawks, including four in the first half.
"Our whole team played really well together, especially with the depth off our bench," said associate head coach
Giorgio Antongirolami.
The Hawks (3-0-2, 2-0 GLVC) return home to host Missouri S&T next Friday night.
