Men meet SBU Bearcats Friday night

Freshman Kaden Cripe leads the team with two goals and five points.
The Rockhurst men's soccer team returns to the road at 7:30 p.m. Friday with a conference matchup at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri.

Rockhurst opened conference play with a 4-0 victory at William Jewell last Sunday. SBU (0-4-1) dropped its conference opener at Truman State, 5-3.

The Hawks remain undefeated with a 2-0-2 overall record while holding their four opponents to one goal in 360 minutes.

This is only the seventh meeting between the Hawks and Bearcats since 1999. Rockhurst holds a 5-0-1 record in their previous six meetings with the Hawks posting a 2-0 victory at SBU last year.

"This is a big game for us. Southwest Baptist will be a tough team for us to defend. They scored three goals at Truman State last week," said Rockhurst coach Tony Tocco.

Live stats and live video will be available for Friday's game at SBU. Check the Rockhurst web site for the game links.
