Northwest Missouri State held off a seventh inning rally by Rockhurst to hold on for a 10-8 win over the Hawks in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday in Maryville, Missouri. The Bearcats won the first game, 13-7.
Game One: Northwest Missouri 13, RU 7
The Bearcats outhit the Hawks, 11-8. Northwest Missouri scored seven runs in the third inning to take a 10-4 lead.
Game Two: Northwest Missouri 10, RU 8
The Hawks outhit the Bearcats, 12-10. Rockhurst ended the game stranding three runners in the seventh and nine for the game.
- Adonis Forte collected four hits and four RBIs. He had RBI doubles in the fourth and sixth.
- Ethan Kleinheider had a pair of RBI singles in the fourth and sixth.
