Hawks rally for 12-10 win at Missouri Western

The Rockhurst women scored the last three goals of the game to rally for a 12-10 victory over Missouri Western Saturday in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Logan Derosia tied the game at 10-10 with a short-handed goal with 8:40 left to play. Dani Mabry scored the go-ahead goal at the 5:18 mark and and Helen Krause added an insurance goal at the 4:20 mark.

Derosia led the Hawks with three goals and three ground balls. Mabry tallied two goals and two ground balls. Christine Corbin scored two goals on three shots.

Mackenzie Blair posted four draw controls, three caused turnovers, three ground balls and one goal. Madison Cook collected four caused turnovers, three ground balls and one draw control. Kelly Marion added two caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Rockhurst finished with 32 shots and 21 ground balls. The Hawks (6-4) return to action on Friday, April 8 at Lewis.
