Women end regular season at home with 17-3 win

The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team closed out the regular season with a 17-3 Senior Day victory over Maryville Sunday at Bourke Field.

The Hawks (10-6, 5-2 GLVC) will be the third seed in the GLVC Tournament and will play Lindenwood in the semifinals on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.

Helen Krause led the Hawks with five points on four goals and one assist. Logan Derosia scored four goals on five shots. Dani Mabry posted two goals and two assists.

Mackenzie Blair finished with five draw controls, four caused turnovers, three ground balls, three goals and one assist. Christine Corbin tallied two goals and three draw controls. Kelly Marion added three caused turnovers, two ground balls and one assist.

Rockhurst finished with 28 shots, 15 ground balls and 13 draw controls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for four saves and five ground balls.
