Women end season with loss to No. 8 Lindenwood

The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team ended their season with a 21-8 loss to eighth-ranked Lindenwood in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament Friday in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Rockhurst scored three unanswered goals to tie the score at 5-5 early in the second period. The Lions went on a 7-0 run to take a 12-5 halftime lead and outscored the Hawks 9-3 in the second half.

Mackenzie Blair led the Hawks with three goals on seven shots. The first team All-GLVC midfielder also posted four draw controls and two ground balls.

Logan Derosia collected two goals, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Helen Krause added two goals and Christine Corbin tallied three draw controls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for nine saves.

Rockhurst (10-7) finished with 25 shots, seven ground balls and eight draw controls.
