Hawks grab overtime win over McKendree

Kelly Marion scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Rockhurst to a 11-10 victory over McKendree Friday at Bourke Field.

Marion's shot was knocked down by the McKendree but the ball rolled into the net with 1:39 left in overtime. It was Marion's second goal of the game.

Helen Krause led the Hawks with four goals on six shots. Logan Derosia scored two goals on two shots. Dani Mabry posted two goals on three shots.

Christine Corbin collected eight draw controls and one assist. Katelyn Kochanowski tallied five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Audrey Titzer added three caused turnovers. Mackenzie Blair finished with three caused turnovers, one goal, one assist, one ground ball and one ground ball.

Rockhurst finished with 29 shots and 17 ground balls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for nine saves and five ground balls.

The Hawks (8-5, 3-1 GLVC) host eighth-ranked Lindenwood on Saturday.
