Hawks end trip with loss at No. 2 Indianapolis

The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team ended their weekend road trip with a 25-5 loss at second-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday.

Indianapolis jumped out to an 8-3 lead after the first period and took a 15-3 lead into halftime. The Greyhounds added 10 goals in the second half.

Dani Mabry led the Hawks with two goals (on three shots) and two ground balls. Mackenzie Blair posted two draw controls, one caused turnover, one goal and one assist.

Christine Corbin had a team-high four draw controls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for eight saves.

Rockhurst finished with 11 shots and 10 draw controls.

The Hawks (7-5, 2-2 GLVC) host McKendree on Thursday.
