The Rockhurst baseball team rebounded in Game Two to get a split of a conference doubleheader with Maryville on Saturday at RU's Loyola Park. The Hawks won the nightcap, 10-8, after dropping the first game by a 4-3 score.
Game One: Maryville 4, RU 3
The Saints rallied from a 3-1 deficit to score three runs in the sixth with the aid of two Rockhurst errors.
Game Two: RU 10, Maryville 8
The Hawks scored five runs in the first and three more in the third to take an 8-1 lead. Rockhurst finished with 13 hits, including three extra-base hits.
- Freshman Adonis Forte led the Hawks with four hits, highlighted by a two-run double in the third.
- Freshman Cole Wagner hit a three-run home to right field in the first and added an RBI single in third.
