Rockhurst suffered a pair of one-run losses to Truman State on Tuesday in Kirksville, Missouri. The Bulldogs won the first game, 8-7, in seven innings and rallied to win the second game, 8-7, in nine innings.
Game One: Truman State 8, RU 7
Truman scored five runs in the first and held off a late Rockhurst rally. Freshman Cole Wagner hit a three-run triple as the Hawks scored four runs in the seventh.
Game Two: Truman State 8, RU 7
The Bulldogs scored four runs in the final two innings, capped by a walk-off single in the ninth. Rockhurst scored five runs on five hits in the eighth to take a 7-4 lead.
