Derosia leads Hawks past Northern Michigan

Logan Derosia scored six goals in the second half to lead Rockhurst to a 15-12 victory over Northern Michigan Tuesday at Bourke Field.

Derosia tallied four goals over seven minutes to give the Hawks an 11-8 lead in the third period. Her sixth goal of the night, on a free position shot, put Rockhurst in front 14-9 with 6:08 left to play.

Helen Krause posted two goals, one assist and two caused turnovers. Freshman Reagan Danner scored two goals. Mackenzie Blair collected five draw controls, two ground balls, one goal and one assist. Derosia added four draw controls and three ground balls.

Rockhurst finished with 21 shots and 18 ground balls. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for six saves.
