Hines powers Hawks to 3-0 win over William Jewell

Kenzie Hines posted 20 kills and a .487 hitting percentage to lead Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over William Jewell Saturday on Senior Day at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks (18-6) finished third in the GLVC with a 9-3 record and will play Indianapolis in the first round of the GLVC Tournament on Thursday in East Peoria, Illinois.

Rockhurst won first set, 25-18, with Hines collecting seven kills. The junior outside hitter led the Hawks with six kills in a 25-14 win in the second set. She added seven kills in a 25-18 win in the third set.

Tera Reberry tallied eight kills and three blocks. Senior middle hitter Gracie LaForge collected seven kills and three blocks. Sydney Raszler added six kills and three blocks.

Sarah Montague finished with 39 assists and seven digs. Maureen Reilly had a team-high 17 digs. Freshman Gracey Janes and senior Brynn Bonewell combined for 16 digs.

Rockhurst finished with a .363 hitting percentage. The Hawks finished with 51 kills, 49 digs and eight blocks.
