Rockhurst hosts WJC Cardinals on Senior Day

The Hawks have won 21 in a row over Jewell.
The regular season in volleyball wraps up Saturday when Rockhurst hosts William Jewell on Senior Day at 1 p.m. The winner will collect a valuable point in the Kansas City Crown series.

The Hawks (17-6, 8-3 GLVC) have won eight of their last 11 matches and are tied for third place in the GLVC standings. Rockhurst currently stands sixth in the NCAA Midwest Regional rankings.

Junior libero Maureen Reilly is the league leader in digs (5.72 per set). Junior setter Sarah Montague ranks sixth in assists and ninth in service aces in the GLVC. Senior middle hitter Gracie LaForge ranks 10th in hitting percentage in the conference.

Jewell (13-14, 3-8 GLVC) is coming off a 3-2 victory at home over Truman State last Saturday. The Cardinals have won five of their last six matches. Sophomore outside hitter Bella LaPorta leads Jewell with 3.46 kills per set.

Rockhurst has won the last 21 meetings with Jewell. The Cardinals' last win over the Hawks occurred in 2011.
