Rockhurst edges UIndy in five sets

Freshman Sydney Raszler posted 20 kills to lead Rockhurst to a 3-2 victory over Indianapolis in GLVC volleyball action Saturday in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Raszler closed out the match with a pair of kills to give the Hawks a 15-13 win the fifth set. Rockhurst won the first and third sets, 25-20 and 26-23. The Greyhounds captured the second and fourth sets, 25-12 and 25-18.

Kenzie Hines collected 12 kills and 17 digs. Tera Reberry tallied 12 kills and three blocks. Lexi Theis posted 11 kills. Gracie LaForge added with 10 kills and five blocks.

Sarah Montague recorded 61 assists and 14 digs. Maureen Reilly had a team-high 27 digs. Gracey Janes contributed 11 digs and two service aces.

Rockhurst posted a .181 hitting percentage. The Hawks finished with 71 kills, 84 digs and six blocks.

The Hawks (12-4, 5-2 GLVC) play in the Midwest Region Crossover in Hammond, Indiana next weekend.
