Hawks rebound for 3-1 win over Cedarville

Rockhurst bounced back from a loss to Ferris State to post a 3-1 victory over Cedarville in the Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Friday in Hammond, Indiana.

The Hawks closed out the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth set with Sarah Pyle getting five kills. Rockhurst won the first two sets over the Yellow Jackets, 25-15 and 25-23. Cedarville won the third set, 26-24.

Tera Reberry led the Hawks with 18 kills and four blocks. Pyle collected 14 kills and seven digs. Gracie LaForge tallied 11 kills and four blocks. Kenzie Hines posted 10 kills and 12 digs.

Sarah Montague tallied 50 assists and seven digs. Maureen Reilly collected 25 digs. Gracey Janes and Carly Rolf combined for 25 digs.
 
Rockhurst posted a .200 hitting percentage. The Hawks finished with 60 kills, 91 digs and seven blocks.

The Hawks opened the Crossover with a 3-1 loss to Ferris State on Friday. Hines led the Hawks with 17 kills and 11 digs. Reilly had a team-high 30 digs.

The Hawks (13-5) play Northwood (11-10) Saturday at 2 p.m.
