Hawks fall at home on late goal by UIndy

The Rockhurst men suffered their first home loss of the season Friday night at Bourke Field. The Indianapolis Greyhounds scored in the 84th minute to defeat the Hawks, 1-0.

Senior midfielder Bryan Moreira rebounded his own shot that hit the left post for his first goal of the season from five yards out.

Rockhurst collected nine of its 11 shots in the second half. Kaden Cripe led the Hawks with three shots. Josh Lindell tallied two shots on goal. Valerio Tatafiore and Nick Grewe each had a shot on goal.

The Greyhounds finished with 11 shots and four shots on goal. RU keeper Andrea Dorella posted three saves.

The Hawks (5-2-3, 4-2-1 GLVC) host McKendree (5-2-4, 3-1-3) Sunday afternoon (2:30) at Bourke Field.
