Hawks face road test at 24th-ranked Quincy

The Rockhurst volleyball team makes their final road trip of the season this weekend. The Hawks play at 24th-ranked Quincy on Friday at 6 p.m. and travel to Truman State for a 3 p.m. match Saturday.

The Hawks (16-5, 7-2 GLVC) posted impressive home wins over Lewis and Illinois Springfield last weekend.

Junior libero Maureen Reilly is the GLVC leader in digs (5.62 per set). Senior middle hitter Gracie LaForge ranks fourth in hitting percentage in the GLVC. Junior setter Sarah Montague ranks sixth in assists and fifth in service aces in the GLVC. Junior right side hitter Tera Reberry stands 10th in kills in the conference.

Quincy (21-1, 8-1 GLVC) is coming off a 3-0 victory at William Jewell last Saturday. The QU Hawks have won their last seven matches after dropping their first match of the season to Indianapolis. Outside hitter Mattie Norris leads Quincy with 3.51 kills per set.

Rockhurst holds a 16-2 advantage over Quincy in the series since 2010.

Truman State (3-17, 1-8 GLVC) won two matches at the Midwest Region Crossover. The Bulldogs posted a 3-2 win over McKendree on Sept. 30. Hanna Berry leads the team with 2.22 kills per set.

The Hawks have won 12 in a row over Truman and lead the all-time series, 14-8.
