Men's Tennis drops opener to Washburn

The Rockhurst men's tennis team dropped its first dual match of the season to Washburn by a 6-1 score Saturday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
 
Josef Truhlar won his No. 2 singles match over WU's Miquel Perez, 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4). The No. 2 doubles team of Agustin Cortes and Felipe Castellanos defeated WU's team of Santiago Rendon and Perez by a 6-2 score.

The Hawks (0-1) will host William Jewell at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
