Hawks suffer first loss of the season at Maryville

Maryville scored in the first minute of the game and held on for a 1-0 victory as the Rockhurst men dropped their first game of the season on the MU campus in St. Louis.

The Saints took the opening kickoff of the game and found the nets 21 seconds into the game. Emil Antonacci drilled a shot from 25 yards out into the back left of the goal.

Rockhurst was held to four shots and one shot on goal. Jacopo Belardo posted the Hawks' only shot on goal in the 70th minute. Jeremiah Musa, Cristoforo LiCavoli and Ben Macinnes also collected shots.

Maryville finished with 12 shots and five shots on goal. RU keeper Andrea Dorella posted four saves.

The Hawks (5-1-3, 4-1-1 GLVC) host Indianapolis (4-2-3, 2-2-2) Friday night at Bourke Field.
