Rockhurst ends weekend with loss at Lewis

The Rockhurst men's soccer team ended the weekend with a 5-1 loss to the Lewis Flyers in Romeoville, Illinois. The Hawks, now 6-3-4 overall, dropped into a three-way tie for fourth place in the GLVC with 5-3-2 record.

Senior defender Gianmarco Donnini scored the Hawks' goal in the 77th minute with an assist from Jacopo Belardo.

Rockhurst posted eight shots and four shots on goal. Cristoforo LiCavoli led the Hawks with three shots and two shots on goal. RU keeper Andrea Dorella posted six saves.

Lewis scored three goals on 10 shots in the first half and added two goals on six shots in the second half. Cristian Perez scored three goals to lead the Flyers (8-3-2, 6-2-2 GLVC).

The Hawks host Truman State (4-5-5, 3-4-3 GLVC) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
