Brugman leads Hawks to KC Cup team title

The Hawks finished first with a 36-hole score of 599.
The Rockhurst men's golf team defended their team championship at the KC Cup Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 289 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 599. Luke Brugman tied for first place individually with a two-day score of 148. He shot a 71 in the second round after opening with a 77 on Monday.

Brett Blau and Jack Junge tied for fourth place with 151 scores. Blau fired a 71 in the second round, while Junge shot a 73 on day two.

Caleb Schmid shot a 74 in the second round to tie for eighth individually at 153. Cooper Stiles tied Schmid for eighth after shooting a 77 on day two. Drake Sawyer and Joseph Fallis both tied for 10th at 155.
