Hawks erupt for 4-0 victory at Missouri S&T

Four different players scored goals to lead the Rockhurst men to a 4-0 victory over Missouri S&T Sunday in Rolla, Missouri.

Elluan Martins Gomes opened the scoring when he made a move on his defender on the left side of the goal and found the upper left from six yards out in the 13th minute.

Cristoforo LiCavoli gave the Hawks a 2-0 halftime lead when he scored on a 12-yard shot on a fast break in the 38th minute with assists from Chase Klusman and Jimmy Choinka.

Klusman made it 3-0 in the 69th minute when he drilled a 12-yard shot off a throw-in from Parker Esparza to Tomasso Tirabassi, who tapped the ball to Klusman.

Jacopo Belardo capped the scoring as he found the nets on a 10-yard shot in the 72nd minute on a through ball from Tirabassi.

Rockhurst finished with 10 shots and eight shots on goal. Belardo led the Hawks with three shots. Fabio D'Errico posted five saves.

The Hawks (4-4, 3-1 GLVC) return to home play Missouri-St. Louis on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
