Rockhurst returns to the road this weekend

The Hawks won 2-0 at Southwest Baptist last Sunday.
The Rockhurst men's soccer team returns to the road this weekend for a pair of conference games in St. Louis and Rolla, Missouri.

The Hawks (2-4, 1-1 GLVC) are coming off a 2-0 victory at Southwest Baptist last Sunday. Rockhurst has scored eight goals in its last four games.

Maryville is ranked No. 21 in the country with a 4-1-1 record going into Friday's 1 p.m. meeting with Rockhurst. The Saints are 2-1 in the GLVC after collecting road wins at Truman State and Quincy.

Rockhurst leads the all-time series 10-4-1. The Hawks won the first nine games in the series, while the Saints have captured the last four meetings without allowing a goal.

The Hawks close out the road swing at Missouri S&T on Sunday (2:30 p.m). The Miners have won their last four games after dropping their season opener.

Rockhurst holds a 19-7-1 lead in the series dating back to 1998. Last season, S&T edged the Hawks 2-1 at Bourke Field. Rockhurst posted a 3-2 win in Rolla in 2019.
