Hawks fall in season opener at Rogers State

The Rockhurst men's soccer team opened the season with a 5-0 loss at 12th-ranked Rogers State Thursday night in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Rogers State scored three goals in the first 19 minutes and took a 4-0 lead into halftime. The Hillcats finished with 14 shots and seven shots on goal.

Rockhurst posted seven shots and three shots on goal. Jacob Weaver led the Hawks with two shots on goal. Peter Baker and Fabio D'Errico combined for two saves.

The Hawks, 0-1, face 22nd-ranked Midwestern State on Saturday afternoon in Claremore.
