Rockhurst sweeps Jewell in conference opener

The Rockhurst Hawks opened conference play with a 3-0 victory over William Jewell (25-14, 25-14, 29-27) Thursday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Averi Vomastic paced the 22nd-ranked Hawks with 14 kills and 15.5 points. Justice Wingate posted eight kills with a .583 hitting percentage. Morgan Conner hit .438 with eight kills.

Tera Reberry added eight kills, six digs and three blocks. Gabbie Inman and Sarah Montague combined for 43 assists and 14 digs.
