Brugman named GCAA All-America Scholar

Luke Brugman led the Hawks with a 76.69 stroke average in 2020-21.
Rockhurst's Luke Brugman has been named a 2021 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

To be eligible for Division II Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically, participate in at least 40 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumula­tive grade point average of 3.20. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Brugman competed in seven tournaments in his senior year for the Hawks. The Wichita, Kansas native averaged 76.69 strokes over 16 rounds and posted four top 10 finishes. He finished second at the KC Cup and the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational. Brugman shot a career-low 71 at the Ottawa Fall Invitational and a 36-hole personal best 148 at the the KC Cup.
