Senior duo powers Hawks to 11-2 win over Bulldogs

Ty Herrenbruck and Tyler Stamer combined for seven hits and six RBIs to lead Rockhurst to an 11-2 victory over Truman State Sunday at RU's Loyola Park.

Herrenbruck finished with three hits and four RBIs. The senior first baseman gave the Hawks an 8-1 lead with a grand slam home run that cleared the scoreboard in left-center field in the sixth inning.

Stamer posted four hits and drove in two runs. The senior right fielder doubled home a run in third and hit a long home run to left-center in the eighth.

Tommy Kraus added two hits, including a two-run single to cap a six-run sixth inning for the Hawks.

Joe Rost (1-2) allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

The Hawks (19-17, 16-16 GLVC) close out the regular season at William Jewell May 7-9.
