Hawks fall at 11th-ranked Lindenwood

Lindenwood scored seven unanswered goals on the way to a 14-6 victory over Rockhurst Saturday in St. Charles, Missouri.

The 11th-ranked Lions (9-2) scored the first goal of the second half to take an 8-1 lead. The 20th-ranked Hawks went on a 4-2 run to cut Lindenwood's lead to 10-5 with 13:42 left in the game.

Brooks Hanson led the Hawks with three goals on six shots. Jack Vande Ven scored two goals on four shots. Ricky Bloom added one goal, one assist and two ground balls.

Luke Goetz tallied three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Hayden Harris finished with 22 saves and four ground balls.

The Hawks (8-4) will play 10th-ranked Indianapolis in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 7.
