Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

First-half goal carries Hawks to 1-0 win at Truman

A first-half goal by Elluan Martins Gomes carried Rockhurst to a 1-0 victory over Truman State in men's soccer play Friday in Kirksville, Missouri.

Martin Gomes scored on shot near the goal off a pass from Federico Verlicchi in the 37th minute. Blake Mann also assisted on the play with his corner kick.

The Hawks posted five shots and three shots on goal. Truman State finished with nine shots and five shots on goal.

Martins Gomes and Verlicchi led the Hawks with two shots apiece. Fabio D'Errico made four saves in winning his second game of the season.

The Hawks, 3-6-3, closes out the regular season at William Jewell on Sunday.
