Rockhurst rolls to 16-4 win at Quincy

Eight different players scored goals to lead Rockhurst to a 16-4 victory over Quincy Tuesday night in Quincy, Illinois.

The Hawks jumped out to a 9-2 lead at halftime and scored the first four goals of the second half to take a 13-2 lead with 4:30 left in the third period.

Brooks Hanson and Jack Vande Ven each finished with three goals. John Myran tallied four assists.

Ricky Bloom, Tommy Forsha, Blake Bellinger and Jonny Licau scored two goals apiece.

Hanson led the Hawks with nine shots. Sam Lindahl posted seven shots. Vande Ven and Bellinger each had six shots.

Sal Valdivia won eight-of-13 faceoffs and had four ground balls. Nick Mostrom captured five-of-10 faceoffs and posted three ground balls. Judge Greenberger also had four ground balls.

Rockhurst outshot Quincy, 58-34, in addition to winning 13-of-23 faceoffs.

Hayden Harris, Boomer Kubik and Nehemiah Hofer combined for 14 saves.

The Hawks (5-3) host Lewis on Saturday.
